PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS

SOWING

  • Pre-cultivation: Start indoors in April, using one seed per pot. Don't start too early, as they grow quite quickly.
  • Sow directly: Plant from late April/early May (check the weather forecast). If necessary, protect the new shoots from night frost, or if you want to be absolutely sure, wait until the Ice Saints.
  • Tip: Pre-grown plants have a better chance of fighting snails and weeds.

CARE

  • Location: Sunny, partial shade possible, then slightly fewer flowers.
  • Watering: Frugal in the bed, water regularly in the pot.
  • Fertilizing: Do not fertilize, promotes leaf growth rather than flowers.
  • Pruning: For even more flowers, regularly remove dead flowers.

Tweezing

  • Cut the main stem 20–30 cm above a pair of leaves. This promotes branching, stronger growth, and more stable stems.

PROTECTION

CUT FLOWERS

Cut before fully opening, keep in the vase for up to a week.
